“The Three Nevers”
Never lie
Never Cheat
Never steal
-John Wooden

John Wooden words are words to follow. One should never to the three nevers because it will lead one to horrible consequences. With doing the three never nothing good comes out of it; your freedom will be limited, you will be unhappy, unsuccessful, and etc. If you never lie, never cheat, and never steal, you are preparing yourself for success you will live much happier. If in attest you cheat and lie, you will not deserve the grade given to you and that will follow you forever. Never do the three nevers as John Wooden says to enjoy life.

Reflection : Good Sportsmanship

Reflection

In a softball competition Sarah from the Western Oregon team, batted her first homeroom but with that homeroom she batted her softball career. Sarah had torn her ACL and was on the flooring hugging the base; her teammates were not allowed to touch her.  That is when Mallory and Liz from the opposing team Central Washington carried her to all the bases until she made her first homerun. This is the best example of good sportsmanship. Mallory and Liz did not have to carry her, they could have just left her there, but winning the game did not matter to them, they were loyal and helped Sarah out because she deserved it.  Central Washington lost the game, but they gained much more respect and left that field with loyalty. Mallory and Liz are a great example to people all over the world, loyalty and good sportsmanship are very important.

Valentine's Day

Valentine’s Day!

The celebration of Saint Valentine, also known to us today as Valentine’s Day. Valentine’s Day is celebrated in many countries around the world on February 14. Even though Valentine’s Day is celebrated globally it is still a work day is the majority of the countries. St. Valentine's Day in early history was a liturgical celebration of an early Christian saints named Valentinus. He is the most popular martyrology associated with Saint Valentine was that he was imprisoned for performing weddings for soldiers who were forbidden to marry and for ministering to Christians, who were persecuted under the Roman Empire; during his imprisonment, he is said to have healed the daughter of his jailer Asterius. Legend states that before his execution he wrote her a letter "from your Valentine" as a farewell in a heart shaped paper. Today Valentine’s Day is celebrated and known as the day of friendship and love. Men give women flowers usually roses and cards as a symbol of their love. Many couples go on dates and receive many other special gifts. Valentine’s Day in America is a commotion you known that every store and restaurant is going to be filled with people celebrating. Valentine’s Day is a day of love, celebration, sweetness, and a lot of money waiting for the people, and a lot of profit for all businesses.

In my opinion Valentine’s Day is a regular day. Why do you have to choose on day to show your significant other that you love them? Why not expresses your love to them every day? You should always show and prove your love to your significant other so that you won’t lose the love. Yes, I do think and celebrate Valentine’s Day is a nice and sweet day, I just don’t agree that it should be done once an year. Valentine’s Day should be expressed more often.
Happy Valentine’s Day♥!

“You cannot do wrong and feel right. It is impossible.”
-Ezra T. Benson

When you choose the wrong, it always comes with a feeling a regret. When choosing the wrong you will also have negative consequences. An example would be if you see someone you could help walk down the stairs because he/she is caring many things and that person falls and unfortunately ends up in a hospital, you will always feel the guilt that you could have done something. You will always have a feeling of regret, a feeling of guilt because you could have prevented it. In order to be happy and live a better life you should always do the right things. Doing the wrong things you will never have peace in your mind.

Seek to do good and you will find that happiness will run after you.”
      -James Freeman Clarke

Doing good is helping others, being kind, being respectful, and following rules. Choosing the right is seeking to doing good. If you choose the right you will be happy and feel satisfied. Choosing the wrong will get you into bad places and will always be in the back of your head making you feel horrible. For example if you help an elder cross the street or even volunteer to make a difference in your community in return you will get a feeling of kindness and satisfaction. When you seek to do good only good things will come in your future. Always seek for the good for a better life.

“There is no set path, just follow your heart.”
          -Anon

This statement is a true, proven statement. You don’t have a set destiny to live. The choices in life you make lead your path. Follow your heart, do as you please. Do not let things hold you back. Nothing is set or guaranteed in life so just follow you heart.  Don’t let others choose your path let you and what makes you happy create your path. Enjoy life and the moment because nothing is set.
