Gold medals can be bought; they’re just a symbol nothing more. Champions are made by hard work and dedication. In the Olympics you do not see the contestants receive a gold medal before the display there hard work over the year, but after. In any store you can buy a gold medal, with no meaning, but a true champion receives its medal with hard work and dedication. You cannot say you are a winner of anything without hard work.

I agree with Wooden these three don’t will not get you anywhere. When whining, complaining, and making excuses you are just wasting time. If you are doing these three don’t with a homework assignment it won’t get you anywhere. At the end of the day you will have nothing done and you are still required to turn it in. Follow John Wooden words they will get you far in life.

          Since the first day of stepping into my AP classes is has been the only subject talked about “AP test is going to be difficult” “we will be preparing for the AP tests”. I recognize I was not prepared for an AP course at the beginning of it all, but as time went I prepared myself and accustomed myself to all the work. Being part of an AP class means no fun until after the AP tests. I now spend my weekends completing AP assignments instead of relaxing like a regular student does. There are no breaks with being an AP student, if spring or winter break come up we all know that means tons of homework. You need to be at the top of your game to have a good grade in an AP class. On the bright side AP classes prepare me for college; they give me time to experience a bit of what college will be like. AP courses all boost of my GPA which help me be eligible for a great University. Now being only a month away from the AP exams, the pressure is on! We become nervous and, we being to have to review everything that has been taught. We also come in Saturdays to take a mock AP test, to prepare us and get us into the mindset of limited time. AP courses are bittersweet, you hate them but you know they will help you out.

How to Get Your Class Notes into Shape

Getting the most out of high school and college means studying hard and using your time in class wisely. An effective note-taking strategy can help you do both. Here are the basics.

Stay Organized

It may seem obvious, but your class notes can only help you if you can find them. When you’re taking notes be sure to:

·       Keep all your notes in one place.

·       Date and number pages; keeping them in order makes it easier to understand them later.

Before Class

Review the materials assigned for that class period thoroughly. Bring a list of any questions you may have.

Like many high school students, you may want --- or need—to work part time. Working takes a lot of time and energy, though, so before getting a job, make sure that you think about your ability to handle both work and education.

Important Considerations

 You have to weight a number of factors when deciding whether to take on a part-time job. It’s important to get as much information as possible, so you can figure out what choice makes the most sense for you.

Schedule a meeting with your school counselor to discuss the idea of working. Talk to your counselor about why you want to work and what type of position you’re seeking.

Glasgow is comparing life as football, your goal as the goal post. Without a goal you can’t go far. You push yourself to keep going in life, when you remind yourself your goal. Life without a goal is like running with no finish line. You will jeep running forever without reaching a goal. With a goal set you motivated yourself to do your best to achieve it. Always jeep your goal in mind in order to achieve it and achieve it as fast as you can.

Keep your eyes on the prize; keep your eyes on your goal. Always have it in mind so you won’t forget it, so you don’t get off track. Keep yourself focused on your goal at all-time be aware of it at all time.  Any little thing can take you off track of your prize, be careful and keep an eye on it! Always try hard to meet your prize, accomplish that prize you have an eye on!
